COACH TIM PRISTER COMMENTS ON 2006

Although it wasn't a rebuilding year for us, it was a transition year, which meant that we had some obstacles to overcome. We started out fast (9-3) and then fell into a hitting slump before winning 9 of our last 11 games. We just haven't been able to get over the hump in the sectional championship game. But we continue to play our best ball at the end of the season, which is a sign that the players are remaining focused and committed to the cause. I'm extremely proud of the 2006 team. Every coach looks for senior leadership, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of young men than the 12 seniors that represented us. We will always remember the Class of 2006 for its dedication to the Marian baseball program.
